This was a group project for the Fall 2017 HackISU, an MLH hackathon hosted by Iowa State University. This project was meant to be a learning experience about how making a website works.
Visit the completed website here or visit the DevPost here for more information. This website is supposed to be a resource for diagnosed mentally ill people who do not wish to seek help in person, but would feel more inclined to seek help online. This was to act as a guide and checklist for what they could do to mitigate their symptoms.
Mental illness is a global problem, and we believe that there are solutions to it, so we designed something that could help.
We also worked to improve our knowledge of the diseases, and the tools at our disposal. We learned more about how GitHub works and I learned how to include external stylesheets and working together with other developers.
We created the website using a template, then adding our own images and content, followed by customizing and learning the various animations and assorted front-end visualizations; we then hosted it on this address for the event.
