A basic hand piston plastic injection molder
The user inserts a mold they wish to inject, then they insert the plastic into the hopper, then pull on the lever to inject the plastic into the mold.
This was created as an inexpensive solution to mass produce the massage rollers made by Roll and Go, however we ended up using a 3D printer as it was more suited to our needs.
How it's made:
First was to gather the raw materials including aluminium pieces, steel bars, and the electronics (a heater, thermostat, switch, and a thermistor).
Then came the frame assembly
Various parts needed to be machined such as the piston, nozzle, and hopper.
Then the machined parts could be attached.
The stand for the molds can be adjusted by turning the screws in the four corners. The general frame is then completed.
Electronics are attached
A first test is done, and it's determined the nozzle needs to be redone.
New nozzle is attached, and the new injection molder is operational.
