Unfortunately, I still need JS for some things to work properly. You're welcome to keep it disabled, but the onus is on you if some things don't work (I promise I'll get around to fixing it)...

Analog Audio Amplifier

hardware

This was a project for EE333X, an experimental electrical engineer class at Iowa State where we designed and built PCB circuits. This was the first of two projects for the class, the other being the infinity mirror.

For this project, we started with designing the basic amplification circuit itself, then adding in the peripherals such as the low pass and high pass filters, a switch to bypass the filters, the voltage inverting charge pump, and finally doubling the circuit over for stereo output.

We then tested the circuit on a breadboard, and after confirming that it works to a reasonable degree, we put the circuit into KiCAD and generated a PCB layout.

I used autodesk inventor to create a clam-shell case based on the board dimensions, which I 3D printed and was able to create a final product after we received the boards from Oshpark and wired everything together.
